Apple is getting ready to launch its new TV service called Apple TV and one of the networks interested to work with them is said to be CBS. CBS CEO Leslie "Les" Moonves said in a recent interview that there might be a deal between the network and the tech giant by the time it launches.

During the Code Conference on Wednesday, Moonves told Re/Code's Kara Swisher that his network will possibly sign a deal with Apple after he met with the company's media boss Eddy Cue last week. Reportedly, the two discussed the plans of Apple and the deal is part of an ongoing conversation.

Les Moonves pointed out that the service is still in the works and there is no specific release date as to when the Apple TV is to be launched but he noted that the new TV service is "trying to change the universe." Although Apple provides a service largely similar with the Dish Network's Sling and Sony's Vue, CBS is a network needed by any of the three services. Also, Apple will be offering a more select group at a lower price than what Dish and Sony offer.

Apple TV will basically be about offering consumers a smaller bundle of TV networks that will be delivered via the Web. Moonves added that his network will be getting a bigger proportion from the bundles of these TV services rather than the traditional packages that are still being offered today.

Moonves pointed out that non-traditional media is growing rapidly but they still get huge revenue from on-demand normal television broadcast as 70% of Americans still watch TV while the show is being broadcasted and that an average American watches TV at least five hours a day. He also shared that 90% of people still get contented with their cable or satellite connection. However, he still argued that what is happening in the digital world is a "major positive."

It is expected that Apple will be announcing the details and specifications of Apple TV during the Apple's developers' conference by June.
