Microsoft is trying to make hotspot allocations easier thru friends and family. As Windows 10 was introduced, it comes up with a Wi-Fi feature called Wi-Fi Sense. It runs on Windows Phone 8.1 and PC. The Sense can convey other's Wi-Fi password to your router provided that they are a contact.

With this Wi-Fi sharing capacity, people will now have an easy access to the Internet through their devices by simply logging in automatically into the wireless hotspots letting their friends to share secured connections with your connection too. "The feature can automatically accept a Wi-Fi network's terms and conditions and provide your name, email address or phone number on your behalf", stated in Naked Security.

Wi-Fi Sense users can log on to a new network by checking a box prompting them to share access with their contacts, including Facebook friends, Outlook and Skype contact list. This feature can share your Wi-Fi passwords to other user's contact list. Anyone approximately near you and have your Wi-Fi password for their PC or other devices can actually allow others to connect to your network. So if you stroll around closer to a wireless network, and your friend knows the password, and both of you have Wi-Fi Sense, you can now log into that network, The Register hinted.

The password will be sent over an encrypted connection and is stuck up on an encrypted file on a Microsoft server. After that, it will be directed over a secure connection to your contacts' phone if they have Wi-Fi Sense and they are near the Wi-Fi network you just shared, as read on Net Security.

Obviously, it annoyed users who are concerned about wireless security. As Wi-Fi Sense doesn't divulge the password, it could be a little detrimental because random contact can still effortlessly hack your Wi-Fi.
