ZTE is making waves, rolls out unlocked flagship smartphone AXON exclusively for the U.S.
ZTE is aiming to cause waves in the smartphone market, as the Chinese telecommunications giant has announced its new unlocked flagship smartphone AXON exclusively for the United States.
The launch of its affordable and unlocked smartphone flagship AXON in the United States is proof that the company is deliberately trying to grow and tap the market in America. The company even held a launch event for AXON in the heart of nation, i.e., New York City.
ZTE AXON will be competing head on with various latest flagship devices such as of OnePlus, Samsung, LG and other counterparts in the same line, but at a price tag of $449.98, it is much less than the currently available Android and iOS flagship smartphones. AXON is a GSM SIM unlocked smartphone that will work T-Mobile, AT&T and several other prepaid GSM carriers.
According to an article posted on ZDNet, ZTE AXON will hit the stores by the end of July and will be available in silver, gold and blue shades. Pre-orders made from ZTE's official website will be entitled for JBL E13 earphones free of cost. Plus, the company is offering two-year manufacturer's warranty for the device, which we don't see very often these days.
With Android 5.1 Lollipop, a 2.0 GHz Octa core processor powers AXON and 4GB RAM. According to NJTechReviews, ZTE assures that its unlocked flagship will receive latest software updates soon after the launch.
AXON offers 32 GB internal storage and 13 megapixels rear camera, but it lacks a micro SD slot thereby, users would have to move to cloud storage after the depletion of 32 GB internal storage. With 3000 mAH battery, AXON boasts Quick Charge 2.0, which infers quick charging experience.
By equipping the AXON with Hi-Fi sound, ZTE has become the first to do so in the industry. Hi-Fi sound means the device is equipped with two dedicated audio chipsets for optimum audio experience. Moreover, AXON comes with dual microphones for enhanced voice call experience.
The big question now is whether ZTE will be successful in creating a stir in the smartphone market across the United States. Many techies and gadget experts are yet to be convinced with ZTE's unlocked flagship device.
