Facebook Moments version 2.0 app creates videos from your photos and syncs it to your friends

Facebook Moments app introduces a new feature; a photo collection aggregated from your phone in a form of video. Moments automatically collects your photos and pick the right type of music based on 12 background themes that is shareable with your Facebook friends by means of facial recognition.

Reported on The Verge, Moments, the photo sharing app from Facebook released in June now updates a new video sharing feature. The update collects a photo montage with background music from at least six of your photos.

Choose from dozen other background songs such as Loved, Adventurous, Happy, Inspired and Playful, cited on Techxina.

Moments uses face recognition to identify subjects in the photo. It would suggest tags, date/time and location stamps instantly distinguishing your contacts and syncing the photos to your friends in Facebook once you authorize its access on your phone. You can customize your photos either and select who you want to share your photos with.

TechCrunch recognized it as a more innovative way for photos that were captured and eventually stock piled to our phones. It is also a practical means to seize copies in some cases where we've missed an important event.

Unlike previous Creative Labs innovation that lost its track ranking, it appears that Moments is gaining positive feedback. At this point, it ranked 107th at the iTunes App Store Photo and Video category and 19th on Google Play. Though it declined in overall ranking since it was introduced two months ago, it still shows a lot of potential.

With more than four billion daily video views, Facebook now considers adding video elements on the social media. Accommodating more video ads, it is currently improving its live streaming, video analytics and 'Watch Later' options, highlighting best videos to its News Feed.

Available in 34 languages, you can download Facebook Moments version 2.0 on Google Play and App Store today.
