T-Mobile launches built-in video calling feature to Samsung phones

T-Mobile has recently announced that video calls will be a built-in feature on selected T-Mobile smartphones.

T-Mobile confirmed that it will roll out the exciting feature to the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Samsung Galaxy Note5 starting now, while the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will have to wait until next week.

With the Video Calling feature from T-Mobile, the basic idea is to offer Android device owners something that feels native to the user experience, in order to better contend with things such as Apple's FcompeteaceTime for instance.

For a user to get the feature, users of supported Samsung devices will be instructed to download the update by going to their Settings, tap "About Device" and then "Software Update".  Once installed, there will appear a small camera icon next to contacts that will be able to receive video calls as explained by T-Mobile.

T-Mobile Video Calling portrays a massive step forward in how Americans make mobile calls.  T-Mobile Video Calls can be made from capable devices on any available LTE connection by straightly using the data from your high-speed data bucket as well as over Wi-Fi.

T-Mobile has been the first to offer an Android phone and Wi-Fi Calling, HD Voice on both LTE and Wi-Fi and first with the nationwide VoLTE calling and next-gen Wi-Fi Calling.

Last month, T-Mobile was the first and only in the U.S. to offer Advanced Messaging, upgrading of regular SMS with real-time chat and the ability to share images and videos of up to 10MB right out of the box.

It is all part of T-Mobile's total commitment to delivering the next-gen wireless experience to a new generation of wireless customers.
