Google unveiled two new Nexus flagship smartphones

The giant tech company, Google had unveiled their latest android flagship during an event on October 29th. The company releases two new android phone the Nexus 5X and big-screened Nexus 6P. The event marks the first official gadgets release under the new CEO Sundar Pichai.

The latest flagship by Google contains all the latest feature that every phone manufacturers are doing. However, the most notable feature for the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P is both of them run on the latest Android 6 dubbed as 'Marshmallow'.

According to The Guardian, Google teamed up with its previous Nexus partner, LG for the Nexus 5X while for 6P the company works with Shenzhen-based manufacturer, Huawei.

Fortune reported that both smartphones come with the latest specs, but lower price tag compared to other manufacturers.

The 16GB Nexus 5X comes with $379 price tag while $429 for 32GB. The 5.2-inch smartphone comes with 1080p HD display and runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and 2GB RAM.

The 5.7-inch quad-HD display Nexus 6P, on the other hand, comes with three storage option. The price starts at $499 for 32GB, $549 for 64GB and additional $100 for 128GB. The smartphone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor with 3GB RAM.

According to Engadget, both devices comes with the USB-Type C port for charging where users can stick their charger using either way just like the iPhone.

As for photography enthusiast, Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P comes with a 12.3-megapixel rear camera giving a sharper image for the phone. However, the bump on the camera lenses makes the device slightly thicker there.

Both Nexus also comes with the fingerprint sensor and officially known as the Nexus Imprint. Unlike other manufacturer, Google placed the fingerprint sensor at the back of the device just below the camera.

This, as Google demonstrated will give users a more natural feel when using it since the index finger will fall perfectly on the imprint. The sensor also read the fingerprint accurately and faster on the Nexus and Google said that the sensor will be working faster when users are using it often as it will learn about users' fingerprint different placement.

Another important thing that users have to take notes is that both devices support the latest Google project, the Project Fi. Nexus users can request an invite and start using the Project Fi SIM card.

Besides Nexus flagship, Google also releases another devices during the event. Among them are the new and improved Chromecast devices and a new tablet that runs on Android, the Pixel C.
