Simply Home Community: Functioning, self-sustaining tiny houses in Portland Oregon

Simply Home Community claim building a tiny house community is allegedly easy. But the tiny house builders give emphasis on the fact that it requires continuous deliberation to achieve a harmonious coexistence among inhabitants in a community atmosphere.

But the community assured that it may not be easy to create a tiny house community, it's getting easier at the moment since more and more counties are accepting tiny homes.  A lot of people are actually building tiny homes.

Lina Menard is one of the owners of a tiny home. She has her "Lucky Penny," one of the tiny homes parked at Simply Home Community. As a designer, Menard was able to model her home off of the classic Vardo, which is a traditional horse-drawn wagon used by British Romani people as their home. "Lucky Penny" owner also assisted Anita in designing her tiny house, the Lilypad, as mentioned in Tiny House Giant Journey.

At only 100.3 square feet, this tiny house still manages to feel spacious, even without a loft. Menard's house is the smallest tiny home a lot of people claimed to have seen. The copper accents and rounded shapes incorporated into the Lucky Penny's interior design actually make the tiny home its "penny" theme. For interested tiny housers, they could gather some ideas of the "Lucky Penny" through the owner's site This Is The Little Life.

On Menard's site, she talked about the perks of living in a tiny house. She wrote that "Lucky Penny" went on A Tiny Move for a Tiny House on Sunday. Although the layout remained exactly the same, Menard stated that the house was rotated 180 degrees from how it was in her previous spot. And she is still getting used to the changes.

But this was not the very first time that the owner felt disoriented about the alterations. She also went through a same disorientation when she first moved a tiny house. After six months of living in Bayside Bungalow, she moved the tiny house a few blocks away and oriented it 180 degrees differently.

Meanwhile, as she's getting used to her new tiny home, Menard also mentioned some advantages and disadvantages of changing the orientation and location of the tiny house. But Menard insisted that wherever she puts her home, her home will always be her home no matter what.
