Using Starwood Points for Maximum Value, Guests can use SPG Starpoints for Two tickets to the world series

TPG's most recent valuations' list Starwood Preferred Guest Starpoints as the single most valuable loyalty currency. Moreover, users can even have the chance to access one of the biggest competitions in all of sports as they can earn tickets for Game 2 of the 2015 MLB World Series.

According to The Points Guy, Starwood has been limiting the ways to earn mega amounts of Starpoints without spending a lot. Thus, it reportedly allows simple supply and demand principles to keep the value of Starpoints high. To balance out the equation, Starwood Preferred Guest offers very desirable redemption options.

Moreover, Starwood has two co-branded credit cards that can help garner the clients' Starpoints earning, including the Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express and the Starwood Preferred Guest Business Credit Card from American Express. The personal version earns 25,000 points for a $3,000 spent within 3 months and the business version currently has an offer a sign-up bonus of 25,000 points after a first purchase, and 15,000 more after spending $5,000 in the first 6 months of card membership.

Starwood also offers their customers World Series tickets in exchange of SPG Starpoints. The redemption method that SPG uses to allow members to use their points on experiences just like baseball packages available throughout the year are great for Cub fans as many of them are for Cub games. In addition, a user can also use them to get World Series tickets.

Different games are also at different bidding points as of the moment. The earliest package for Game 1, ends the bidding tomorrow. And if a client just wants to have the experience, that might be the game to get the best deal on the auction. The tickets are non refundable. There are two packages available for bidding on each game and each package comes with 2 tickets. Customers can only win one package so the most they can win from a single account is 2 tickets.

For now, the auction does not specify the cost of the tickets, but reseller tickets are already at a minimum of $375 per ticket with some coming in at $2,000 per ticket. So the current value of the ticket would be at least $750 for a package.
