Fans of the 1980 psychological horror film, The Shining will definitely love to relive the horrifying classic movie as the Colorado Hotel, Stanley Hotel, the infamous location on the movie is going to introduce a horror film center inspired from the classic flick. And it will be mark as the first horror themed destination in the world.

According to The Guardian, the Stanley hotel in Estes Park, Colorado, which became the muse of the horror American author, Stephen King to come up with the story of the classic horror book turned into film, The Shining is on the planning process to develop a Horror-themed museum. The owners of the Stanley Hotel also estimated to spend $24million for the establishment.

The plans of opening a 43,000 square foot horror themed museum with horror film archives and film production studio has applied for $11.5 million credit through the State of Colorado's Regional Tourism Act, which would be generated through film center sales tax, the Fox news reported.

 One of the centers's founding Board, lijah Wood said, "I would love to have a home for which we could constantly come year-round and celebrate with other fans from around the world. There's really no better place for there to be a permanent home for the celebration of horror as an art form than the Stanley Hotel. It was practically built for it." The promoters are also getting their hopes up that all horror fans would love their first "horror themed destination" in the world and could attract more visitors, according to ABC News.

Other famous names on the founding boards backing the new project are, Simon Pegg, George A. Romero, Mick Garris, Josh Waller and Daniel Noah. Aside from the film archives and film production studio, it will also contain several numerous indoor and entertainment facilities as well as educational facilities such as an auditorium with 500 seats, interactive museums and discovery center, moving exhibits from "The Walking dead" film, a sound stage, workshops and classrooms.

John Cullen, the founder of the Stanley Hotel said, the story of his hotel is just beginning at its 109 years. "The Stanley Film Center is my chance to give back to the millions of horror fans around the world who have supported Estes Park and the hotel for so many years." he added.
