Dubai Theme Park Featuring 21st Century Fox Characters To Open in 2018
A Dubai Theme Park featuring 21st Century Fox characters such as "Planet of the Apes," "Ice Age," "The Simpsons," and "Aliens" is expected to unveil in 2018. The plan was part of the deal made by Dubai-based Al Ahli Holding Group and the Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products according to the statement released on Tuesday, Nov.3.
The Dubai Theme Park is part of the five theme parks deal that will be constructed in the coming years. The first Fox theme park is now under construction in Malaysia. ''Predator," ''Night at the Museum," ''Titanic," and "Sons of Anarchy" fans will also be happy as the Dubai theme park will also feature these characters, according to CNBC.
"Dubai is the second Fox theme park destination and marks an important step forward in our global theme park strategy," Jeffrey Godsick, President of Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products said in the statement.
According to Skift, the idea was inspired by Walt Disney Co. and Comcast Corp., which earned a good return from their theme park divisions. The Burbank, California-based Themed Entertainment Association claimed that there was a 4.1% increase or over 223 million guest's attendance were recorded in their 25 large parks.
Meanwhile, the Dubai Theme Park will not be featuring the Avatar characters as it will be part of the theme park at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida that is expected to open its gate to the public in 2017. The Dubai Theme Park will be built by the same Real estate and construction company Al Ahli Holding Group that constructed the Dubai Outlet Mall.
The Dubai Theme Park will also have a hotel inside the premises. As expected, the resort will be one of the most in demand attractions in the Middle East that will boost more of its tourism. It is now gaining the reputation as one of the best place to see the largest water parks in the world apart from Europe and Africa.
