Amazon logs into new delivery tool; deploys its own truck trailers

Amazon is adding thousands of trailers to its shipping fleet. The Amazon branded trailers are owned by the retailer while trucks would be provided by third-party truck companies. The new fleet of trailers will be used for shipment of inventory between warehouses of Amazon, but not for direct delivery to shoppers. Amazon hopes to strengthen its supply chain management fulfilling its two delivery options on the same day or within two days.
