Mark Zuckerberg to host Facebook Townhall Q&A with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg invited India's Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for a Q&A session on Facebook HQ in California. The event will be held on September 27, 9:30 am PST.

In a report from the Indian Express, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced on his Facebook account that he invited India Prime Minister Narendra Modi to participate in the Townhall discussion on Menlo, Park California.

"I'm excited to announce that Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India will be visiting Facebook HQ later this month for a Townhall Q&A. Prime Minister Modi and I will discuss how communities can work together to address social and economic challenges," Zuckerberg posted on Sunday.

The CEO urges people to post their queries on the comment section. Questions could come from people all over the world as he encourages global conversations. The live webcast will be posted on his Facebook account and on Modi's page.

Modi afterwards thanked Zuckerberg for the invitation, confirming the Townhall session. "I look forward to the Townhall Q&A on Sunday 27th September at 10 PM IST (9:30 am Pacific time)," he said.

Likewise, the prime minister requested to post questions on Facebook and on the Narendra Modi App. The discussion will cover global issues, particularly the country's social communications and the economy.

PM Modi will discuss the challenges India is facing being the third largest economy in purchasing power parity and how other countries could cooperate to solve problems.

India Today mentioned Zuckerberg visited the country last year. He met the prime minister to talk about India's digital expansion. The CEO is interested in improving its healthcare and education system. The young billionaire also wants to help the Indian government to develop the 'Clean India' app.

Even before, Zuckerberg is known to conduct this event to address various issues. He started in 2010 with former U.S. President George W. Bush. It was followed by President Barack Obama the other year, specified on the Venture Beat.

First of this month, Zuckerberg will tackle concerns about Facebook on Tuesday. Next will be Modi's session on the 27th.

Aside from the prime minister's visit on Facebook HQ, rumors said Modi is also scheduled to visit Google and Tesla production.
