50,000 Point Chase Hyatt Visa: Better than two free nights for public offer?

Recently, Hyatt allegedly offers targeted offers for the Hyatt Visa Signature Credit Card for 50,000 Gold Passport points. But many cardholders claim that the public offer for this card for two free nights at any Hyatt hotel is not really a great deal compared to the targeted offers.

The current public offer for this card offers two free nights at any Hyatt hotel worldwide after the same amount of spend is completed. According to Travel Is Free, Hyatt also grants award nights offering at 5,000 points a night up to 30,000 points a night. Some people view this offer as a turn down since it's allegedly not even enough for two free nights at a top-tier Category 7 hotel.  Many card users seemingly prefer the 50,000 point offer since it opens up more possibilities than two free nights.

Credit cardholders pointed out sorts of reasons why the 50,000 point sign-up bonus on the Chase Hyatt Visa is better than the two free night. A free night at a Category 7 Hyatt hotel would require guests 30,000 points per night, so getting two free nights from the Hyatt Visa seems like a good deal, as reported by Running With Miles. However, there are only seven hotels in this category, so the redemption options are limited. 

The clients also notice that the 50,000 points get them more than two free nights. Hyatt still has fairly reasonable redemption rates for most of the category 1 up to 7 of Hyatt hotels. The 50,000 points level the worth of up to 10 free nights at a Category 1 Hyatt hotel. Clients  can also redeem them for more nights at lower category hotels.

Moreover, having the Chase Hyatt credit card sign-up bonus in the form of points rather than free nights means that guests can actually use them for more than just award nights. The 50,000 point bonus can be used towards Points + Cash awards, room upgrades, rental cars, and dining and spa services.

The two free nights currently offered through the Chase Hyatt Visa expire within a year. The Hyatt points reportedly do not, as long as the Gold Passport account has some activity every 12 calendar months. If a customer owns a Chase Hyatt Visa, this is easily achievable.

The client can also keep the Hyatt Gold Passport account able by transferring points from the Ultimate Rewards account. Keeping the account active will have the 50,000 points earned from the Chase Hyatt Visa to be utilized at any time, while the two free nights have to be redeemed within a year.

Except guests plan on redeeming two free nights at a Category 7 Hyatt hotel, they would most likely settle with the 50,000 points rather than the two free nights. Many of the clients still believe that the points offer up more redemption options and they don't expire.
