Hawaii's largest airlines, Hawaiian Airlines made an announcement on Monday, to launch new luxury design elements and redesigning their premium cabins. The 8th largest commercial airline in the US is to add 180 degree lie-flat seats on their A330 carrier's business class.

The Market Watch reported, with affiliation with an Italian Company, Optimares that specializes in traveler-centric design, the plans of adding their new luxury seats and redesigning will be made possible. Hawaiian Airlines' President and CEO, Mark Dunkerley said "We have designed an experience that will usher in a new era in premium service to Hawai'i, one that resulted from a thorough review of guest feedback and intensive research to develop a best-in-class product for our long haul aircraft."

"Whether traveling for business, with family or on a romantic retreat, the new premium cabin evokes an engaging bold, contemporary sense of Hawai'i, complemented by the warm aloha spirit of our cabin crew.  We're creating an environment of tranquility and comfort in the air." Dunkerley explained. A design consultancy from Seattle, PaulWylde is also collaborating with the Honolulu-based airline to create the 76-inch beds.

According to USA Today, Dunkerley said they will make the new cabin design "primarily a leisure-based carrier catering to couples and families traveling to the vacation of a lifetime". He also said that their new seats are not just anybody's life-flat seat, because it is their product of months of their research and the painstaking attention to the details of their island homes and also to what their customers really want.

The first A330 carrier with the latest customization will arrive in the second quarter of 2016. The installation of the Hawaiian Airlines new 180 degree lie-flat seats for the other 22 A330 Carrier will start in September 2016, the Travel Pulse reported.  Aside from the lie- flat seats, the Hawaiian airline will also include 28 Extra Comfort seats for the premium economy section.

The Hawaiian Airlines President and CEO, Dunkerley said they want to meet their customers' expectations. He added "We believe this will usher in a new era of premium service in Hawaii. The product has been created for the unique needs and expectations of the Hawaiian Airlines guest, combining high-tech solutions and a truly innovative design."
