"Travelers are accustomed to earning meaningful rewards with their Chase credit cards, and the combined value of United and Marriott will amplify those benefits during one of the most heavily traveled seasons of the year," claimed Richard Quigley, president of Chase's partner business.
He continued by stating, "With more than 4,300 Marriott hotel locations and 362 United flight destinations worldwide, this promotion harnesses the global ubiquity of the United MileagePlus and Marriott Rewards programs, and rewards cardholders even more for their travel purchases."
In other words, Marriott Rewards Premier cardmembers can earn a total of 4X points per $1 spent on United purchases, while United cardmembers can earn a total of 2X (Explorer) or 3X (Club) miles per $1 spent on Marriott purchases. The respective business card products are also eligible for the promotion.
