Samsung Releases Limited Edition Iron Man-Inspired Galaxy S6 Edge, Will This Help Boost Company's Sales?
Days after reports surfaced that a high-ranking Samsung official said that there were only 10 million unites of Samsung Galaxy S6 sold in its first month, the company released an Iron Man-inspired handheld ant is said to be limited edition. Will this limited design units help boost the sales of the latest Galaxy model of Samsung?
The Iron Man-inspired phone is very much different from the earlier launched designs of the unit as it has a red and gold color scheme to match the outfit of the Marvel superhero. As per the official unboxing video released on YouTube, the Iron Man's mask is etched on the back of the unit and it comes with a special packaging. It also has a customized charging pad that resembles the Marvel superhero's arc reactors.
The Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Limited Edition was launched in order to celebrate the recently-released hit movie "Avengers: Age of Ultron" sequel. Samsung has also teased the fans regarding an Iron Man-themed interface but details regarding this are still under the wraps. Samsung announced an Avengers-inspired handheld last month via their Twitter account that created a lot of buzz amongst Marvel fans.
Other specifications of the Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Limited Edition is that it comes with a 64GB memory and has the same features with that of the earlier released S6 Edge units.
Younghee Lee, the Executive vice president of global marketing, IT and Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics said in a statement, "The limited edition Iron Man Galaxy S6 edge embodies the power of the iconic Avenger with a dual-curved edge design and advanced features that will provide Marvel fans with the ultimate entertainment experience."
The new smartphone will be released in Korea by May 27 while the units will be available in China and HongKong soon. There are still no details available if the unit will be sold in the United States or other parts of the country.
Samsung has not revealed as well as to how much the device will cost and if how many units will be available for selling. It also remains unknown if the rest of the Avengers crew will have their own Samsung Galaxy S6 versions designed by Samsung.
